Injury-hit Crystal Palace hope to pick up their first league victory at Selhurst Park in 2003 when Walsall are the visitors.

Hayden Mullins starts a two-match ban after getting 10 bookings this campaign. Francis could play youngsters Wayne Routledge and Gary Borrowdale to give them some experience as the play-off dream is over.

Steve Thomson (calf), Darren Powell, Dele Adebola (groin) Tony Popovic (groin), Noel Whelan (foot), Cedric Berthelin and Andy Johnson (hamstring) will all miss the match due to injury.

Ade Akinbiyi will be absent as Trevor Francis wants the striker to concentrate on recovery from his long-term knee injury.

Alex Kolinko will return in goal and Jamie Smith should start after recovering from a jarred knee. Gareth Williams has been recalled from his loan at Colchester and could start up front.
