Rosenior for Palace boss?

Torquay United boss Leroy Rosenior has been linked with the vacant manager's position at Crystal Palace.

Iain Dowie, Ronnie Moore, George Burley, Steve Cotterill, Steve Kember, Bryan Robson, Jean Tigana, George Graham, Alan Pardew, David O'Leary, Brian Little and Steve Coppell have all been linked with replacing Trevor Francis.

Rosenior, 38, who is on a six-month rolling contract, said: "I am flattered by the stories I have heard. Of course I'm interested. Who wouldn't be? Palace is a job I would consider seriously. It's a smashing club and very much my part of the world."

But Torquay United chairman Mike Bateson told the club's official website: "I am aware of the rumours connecting Leroy with various clubs including Crystal Palace and West Ham.

"As far as we are concerned they remain rumours and will do so until such time as any club makes a formal approach.

"I have talked with Leroy about his future and we both accept that, if he continues to do well, then approaches will be made.

"He is content with his lot at present but obviously would have to consider any substantial approach from a substantial club.

"Should such an approach be made then there is no way we could, or would want to, stand in his way.

"Leroy's attitude to it all is that no contact has been made and he intends to concentrate on the next two matches which could prove to be the most important in our season and in his career."
