Palace misfit Julian Gray has signed on loan to Cardiff City in a one-month deal.

The Lewisham-born winger has had unsucessful trials at Charlton, Leeds and Blackburn in the last few months and recently returned to the Palace squad on a week-by-week contract.

Steve Kember told said it was unlikely that Gray would play for Palace again after Simon Jordan's outburst in the People where he stated that he "couldn't stand the sight of seeing him again".

Gray will see the move as a route to get himself noticed again, hoping that a Premiership club will pay the fee that Palace are looking to get for him.

Cardiff boss Lennie Lawrence said: "He definitely won't start (this weekend) but he might be on the bench.

"We are maybe looking at another one (signing) in time for Saturday, although the second one is proving to be more difficult."
