Steve Kember
Steve Kember believes Palace can get back to winning ways in the league after the 3-1 Carling Cup win against 10-man Blackpool.
An Andrew Johnson brace and Dougie Freedman penalty were enough to see the
Eagles safely through to the fourth round.
Kember said: "It was pleasing to come through last night's tricky third round match at Blackpool.
"I said before the match that it was a potential banana skin for us so we had to make sure we did enough to see them off.
"At times we did well but at other times I felt we were sloppy out there. We made enough chances to kill off the game.
"Obviously when they had their keeper sent off it was a big turning point in the game. He was given his marching orders for handling outside the area but, in that case, it's a stupid rule that he has to go.
"He has not done anything wrong but the referee's hands are tied. There is not a lot he can do about it. From our point of view, I thought we used the ball well after getting the man advantage.
"We've had a poor run recently but I'm confident that we can turn things round to show what we've got."
