Tariq Nabil
Palace reserves were held to a 1-1 draw by QPR in the Pontins Holiday Cup, at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles took the lead in the 36th minute thanks to a penalty from Tariq Nabil.
Nathan Simpson went on a good run down the left, passed to Nabil who was running towards the byline, but was scythed down by Danny Shittu.
It was a silly challenge as Nabil couldn't get a shot in from that angle and the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Nabil converted the spot-kick.
Richard Pacquette netted the equaliser for Rangers just before the hour mark. Dennis Oli was realeased down the right and Pacquette's diving header flew past Cedric Berthelin in goal.
A big disappointment throught the 90 minutes was Tommy Black who clearly could not be bothered even try to play.
Palace: Berthelin, Wilson, Borrowdale, Dolan, Togwell, Gibson (El-Salahi 86), Black, Heeroo, Soares, Nabil (Bashkal 82), Simpson
Subs: Cronin, Bashkal, Fray.
