Cedric Berthelin replaces the cup-tied Thomas Myhre is goal for the FA Cup third round trip to Tottenham.
Myhre will return to league action afterwards as his loan has been extended to January 17.
Apart from the change inbetween the sticks, boss Iain Dowie names an changed side for White Hart Lane, where Palace have a good record.
Spurs' Simon Davies is hoping to return after being out since Septmber with a hip injury.
Neil Shipperley is looking forward to the match: "I remember the previous game against Spurs because it came in the season that we were relegated from the Premiership.
"We didn't win at home until April but produced some great away performances and that was one of them.
"From our point of view, it is the perfect time to be playing them. They are looking to turn the corner while we are riding high."
