Palace reserves sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Southend in the Pontin's Holidays League at Selhurst Park.
Palace fielded a few players with first-team experience - Kit Symons, Jamie Smith and Tommy Black.
They went in front on 15 minutes as Black fired home trialist Jermaine Brown's pass inside the box.
On the hour mark, Tom Soares doubled Palace's lead from close range after linking up well with Gareth Williams.
Then Williams netted the third from the penalty spot in the 86th minute after Tariq Nabil was tripped in the area.
Palace: Cronin, J Smith (Wilson 74), Simpson, Togwell, Symons, Surey, Black (Dolan 74), Soares (Nabil 74), Williams, Brown, Heeroo.
Subs not used: Gibson, Bashkal.
