Pontins Holidays League
An under-strength reserve side lost 3-0 to Cambridge, at Selhurst Park.
None of the usual reserve teamers played as Palace rested them ahead of Monday's Pontins Cup semi-final clash.
But it was a good opportunity to blood youngsters, check out some trialists and let Darren Powell and Curtis Fleming get back to full fitness.
Goalkeeper David Wilkinson and right winger Aaron Fray both made their reserve team debuts and impressed boss Jon Goodman.
With so many new faces, it was difficult for the Eagles to gel as a team and it was no surprise that the visitors went 3-0 up with goals five minutes after the break, then on 54 and 78 minutes.
Palace: Wilkinson, Fleming (Conroy 61), Cousins, Sentance, Powell (Prigent 46), Courtney (Togwell 46), Fray, Gliddon, Snee, Dolan, Cahill.
Not used: Wilson, Simpson.
