Andy Johnson has won April's Division One player-of-the month award.

AJ netted five times during the last month, helping the Eagles into the play-off positions.

Football League spokesman Ian Christon said: "Andy's pace and skill make him a real handful for opposition defences.

"He had scored 26 League goals by the end of April, a fantastic effort that could yet take Crystal Palace into the Premier League."

The 23-year-old won January's player-of-the month award and was recently named in the PFA Division One team of the season.
