Crystal Palace have rejected an improved offer of £2m for Wayne Routledge.

Spurs tabled £1.5m bid last week which was swiftly shunned by chairman Simon Jordan. And after Palace's 3-0 home victory over Spurs, they improved their offer by £500,000.

Jordan said: "We have turned down an increased bid from Tottenham.

"They need to come back with more. The offer made on Saturday is not acceptable and the ball is still in their court.

"Spurs approached me after the game and we talked, but they have not offered us anywhere near enough money for a player we want to keep at the club."
