Palace's high-flying reserves were convincing 3-0 winners at home to Coventry City.

Victory means the Eagles remain second in the Premiership Reserve League South. Wayne Andrews gave Palace the lead in the 15th minute with a 20-yard strike.

Seconds before the break, Andrews turned goal provider by setting up Vasilis Lakis to blast home the second goal.

Second half substitute Sandor Torghelle netted the third after 52 minutes. Lakis went on a run down the right and his shot was saved by the Coventry keeper, who parried only as far as Torghelle and he slotted home.

Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, Borrowdale, Watson, Powell, Popovic, Lakis, Danze (R Hall 66), Shipperley (Torghelle 46), Andrews, Kolkka (Berry 66).

Subs not used: Banks, Wilson.
