AJ scored from a penalty
Crystal Palace lost 2-1 against FK Teplice in the first match of their German pre-season tour.
The Czech outfit started well and scored the opening goal of the game after only four minutes.
Halfway through the first half, FK Teplice had a player sent off after Dougie Freedman was brought down when through on goal.
Moments before half-time, both teams were reduced to even numbers as Palace youngster Aaron Fray was shown his second yellow card.
A new Eagles side emerged for the second half and inside six minutes, Andy Johnson was hauled down in the area for a penalty. He picked himself up to convert the spot-kick.
In the 59th minute, FK Teplice regained the lead after a bad back-pass by Anthony Danze put a Czech player clean through at trialist goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
New boy John Macken had the chance to put the teams level again, but his effort was stopped by the FK Teplice keeper.
Palace now travel to Fussen this Saturday, where they will meet newly-promoted Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Palace first half: Speroni, Togwell, Hudson, Wilson, Fray, McAnuff, Hughes, Watson, Kolkka, Freedman, Torghelle.
Palace second half: Hislop, Boyce, Ward, Leigertwood, Andrews, Danze, Soares, Black, Johnson (R Hall 75), Macken.
