Danze departs Selhurst

October 14 2005

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Anthony Danze has left Palace by mutual consent.

The Australian played just two games for Palace, both in the Carling Cup.

He first came to the club in 2004 as a free agent and Iain Dowie had high hopes for the Under 23 international.

"He did brilliantly for us in the time he was here," said Dowie. "We really thought he would play a big part this year. He has had a lot of injuries and a lot of niggles and it just quite didn't work out for him.
