Clinton Morrison believes his partnership with Andy Johnson will fire Palace into the Premiership.

Republic of Ireland striker Morrison's header against Coventry was his fifth for Palace since returning to the club from Birmingham in August.

Johnson returned to action as a substitute in the win at Coventry and Morrison can't wait to renew their double act.

Morrison said: "It is great to see Andy Johnson back again because I came here to play with him.

"We had one training session when I arrived and we played at Stoke when I helped make a goal for him.

"I think we can help fire Palace into the Premiership and then hopefully keep them there.

"I think I have a point to prove after moving here and Andy wants to get back into the England squad."

Morrison reckons Palace fans will see the best of him because he feels settled back in south London.

He said: "I have always had a good relationship with Palace, my friends have always been back in London and I did get a bit lonely in Birmingham so the mood is perfect for me.

"I have done well since I have come back to the club but we have a very good squad here. The manager has told me to express myself and that is what I am going to do."
