Tyrone Berry
A young Crystal Palace reserve team crashed out of the Surrey Senior Cup to Beckenham Town 5-1.
The side still had experienced stars such as Tony Popovic, Mikele Leigertwood, Danny Granville, who were making comebacks from injury, and Tommy Black.
Tyrone Berry gave Palace the lead in the 16th minute when he raced onto a long ball and rounded Becks keeper Rob Tolfrey to score.
Paul Vines equalised for the Kent League side 10 minutes before half-time before making it 2-1 three minutes after the interval.
Beckenham added further goals in the 55th, 70th and 80th minutes to wrap up a deserved second round victory.
To make matters worse for Palace, Berry was sent off in the 81st minute for striking an opponent.
Palace: Banks, Fray, Wilson, Popovic (Peprah-Annan 74), Granville, Berry, Togwell (Welch 46), Leigertwood (Palmer 46), Spence, Grabban, Black.
Subs not used: Wilkinson, Peltonen.
