Kit Symons' Crystal Palace reserves went down 2-1 at home to Watford in the league.

Mikele Leigertwood and Danny Granville both got run-outs as they make their way back to full fitness from spells out injured.

Lewis Grabban put Palace ahead from close-range in the ninth minute after a great run and cross from Lewwis Spence on the left.

Watford levelled on 47 minutes as Alex Campana blasted the ball past Palace keeper David Wilkinson.

And five minutes later, the Hornets' Joel Grant made it 2-1 with a cool finish after good work from Toumani Diagouraga.

Palace: Wilkinson, Fray, Beckles (Fish 76), Wilson, Granville, Dayton (Peltonen 83), Leigertwood (Kudjodi 69), Welch, Spence, Black, Grabban. Subs not used: Banks, Starkey.
