Luton got a deserved second goal in the 21st minute, when Enoch Showunmi set up Rowan Vine, who beat Gary Borrowdale to fire into the far corner.
Palace: Kiraly, Borrowdale (Andrews 62), Hall, Ward, Boyce, Hughes, Watson (Johnson 68), Soares, McAnuff (Macken 68), Freedman, Morrison.
Not Used: Leigertwood, Speroni.
