Crystal Palace centenary
Graeme Souness has emerged as a contender for the vacant Crystal Palace manager's job.
The Eagles are in the hunt for a new boss after Iain Dowie left by mutual consent on Monday.
Souness is keen to get back into work after getting sacked by Newcastle United in February.
And he will meet with Palace chairman Simon Jordan when he returns from holiday next week.
"I have a lot of time for Simon Jordan and what he is doing at Crystal Palace. We get on," said Souness.
"It is certainly something I would be interested in. I'm ready for another challenge and Palace is something that appeals should it arise."
