The Den
Crystal Palace were held to a 0-0 draw by lower league opposition Millwall at the Den.
Eagles boss Peter Taylor fielded new £400,000 signing from West Ham Carl Fletcher in the second half.
Fellow new boy Mark Kennedy impressed again with a second half appearance, along with wantaway winger Jobi McAnuff.
Millwall had the better of the first half with youngster Marvin Williams creating a number of chances.
Williams, Filipe Morais and Derek McInnes went close, while Jon Macken blasted into the side-netting and Sandor Toghelle fired over for Palace.
Taylor put out a stronger line-up for the second half and Palace took control of the game without threatening the Millwall goal.
But it was Darren Byfield who should have won the game for the Lions late on, but he fluffed his header from point-blank range.
Palace (first-half): Kiraly; Butterfield, Hudson, Ward, Granville; Soares, Watson, Hughes, Reich; Macken, Torghelle.
Palace (second-half): Flinders; Hudson, Cort, Ward, Borrowdale; Soares (Freedman 60), Fletcher, Kennedy, McAnuff; Morrison, Scowcroft.
Attendance: 3,827 (Away: 558)
