Palace have captured their sixth signing of the summer, signing Matt Lawrence from Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
The 32-year-old central defender, who played the later part of last season as a right back for Millwall, has signed a two year deal with the Eagles.
He spent 6 years with the Lions, and was captain of the side in 2004 when they played in the FA Cup Final.
Lawrence takes the number 2 shirt for the new season, and will go straight into the squad to face Ipswich on Saturday.
Meanwhile, another target for Palace, Carl Cort, has pledged his future to Wolves, despite a rumoured £1 million bid from the Eagles.
