Jamie Scowcroft
Jamie Scowcroft was frustrated Crystal Palace failed to beat Burnley after the two teams fought out a 2-2 draw.
Scowcroft nodded the equalising goal for the Eagles in the 72nd minute after Burnley had twice taken the lead.
Alan Mahon put Burnley ahead on 23, before Leon Cort levelled the scores in the 48th minute. Kyle Lafferty put the Clarest back in front on 52 until Scowcroft scored to give Palace a point.
"We were a bit sloppy in the first half and in the end, we’re disappointed we haven’t won the game," he said. "But overall a draw was probably a fair result.
"In this league, everyone matches each other. And to be fair to Burnley, they’ve come here and been organised and certainly started a lot quicker than we did. They pushed us all the way.
"We’ve come back a couple of times already this season, so we knew at half-time that we would improve and we got the perfect start with Leon Cort getting the header in the first few minutes.
"It was a blow for them to go down the other end and make it 2-1. That made it hard for us. But we deserved a point and the chances we had at the end was disappointing we didn’t take all three.
"The keeper pulled off three or four fantastic saves. It wasn’t our day, but we’re not downbeat about it."
