James Dayton
James Dayton netted in the reserve team's 1-0 win at Wycombe Wanderers.
The Eagles' young winger is tipped by many to have a bright future in the game.
And he got the only goal of the game by coming off the bench to score with a powerful strike from the edge of the box after 77 minutes.
Wycombe started well with Eddie Savage hitting Julian Speroni's crossbar and Lloyd Boateng going close.
Palace hit back as Tommy Black forced a good save from keeper Kyle Bunning, while wonderkid Victor Moses was causing Wycombe problems on his reserve debut.
Bunning denied him with a good save before Dayton grabbed what proved to be the winning goal four minutes after coming on as a sub.
Palace: Speroni, Pilgrim, Fray, Carolan, Hills, Black, Straker (Hall 46), Spence, Reich, Sheringham (Kudjodji 73), Moses (Dayton 73).
Not used: Wilkinson, Dalhouse.
