Simon Jordan
Simon Jordan has given Peter Taylor the dreaded vote of confidence.
Crystal Palace are hovering above the relegation zone after a wretched run of results which has seen them win two of the last 15 matches.
But Eagles chief Jordan has backed under-fire Taylor to turn things around and ruled out an approach for former manager Iain Dowie after he was sacked by Charlton.
Jordan said: "I have very strong support for Peter Taylor. Palace fans, like all football fans, at times like to run with the hares and hunt with the hound.
"If Peter Taylor was producing the type of performances I know he is capable of, they wouldn't be saying anything like that. My focus is that I have a good manager in Peter and you'll see I have strong support for him.
"The impact Dowie had in his first season at Palace was outstanding. But, I think I am on record as saying ultimately he wasn't successful in his last two seasons here.
"There is no doubt he is a good coach and a promising manager. I don't wish him bad, what happened between me and Dowie was business."
