Peter Taylor has signed reserve Everton goalkeeper Iain Turner on a one month loan deal.
The Scottish Under 21 international is rated extremely highly at Goodison Park despite only featuring in a handful of games for the Merseysiders.
The Sterling born keeper has had previous experience between the sticks at Wycombe, Doncaster and Chester in other loan moves over the past two years.
He played the full 90 minutes in Everton's 4-0 victory last month against Luton Town, where he lined up in the same team as ex-Palace hero Andy Johnson.
Despite already having 3 keepers at the club, Peter Taylor defended his decision to bring in the Scot.
"He's a Scottish Under 21 goalkeeper and he's here for a month," he said.
"Everton rate him extremely highly and they want him to come out and get a bit more experience.
"He's been out on loan last season and I know quite a bit about him and he's a good goalkeeper."
"At the minute, I have to say that maybe all of the goalkeepers haven't performed to the ability that they expect of themselves so I've got to act on that," he added.
"My job is to try and win the next match and if it means I can improve on a certain position, or leave someone out so that they can get their confidence back or whatever, then that's the type of thing that I have to do."
