Ben Watson
Ben Watson insists the Crystal Palace boo-boys won't drive him out of the club.
Watson, 21, was amazingly jeered by a section of Palace fans as he stepped up to take a penalty against Leicester on Saturday.
The midfielder showed nerves of steel to bury the spot-kick to give Palace a 2-0 win and scored from the spot again in the Eagles' 3-2 triumph over West Brom on Wednesday night.
Watson admits he didn't understand why he got so much abuse and says he will try not to let it affect his game.
"I thought the reaction was a bit harsh because I’ve not got a record of missing penalties," he said.
"The fans are fans. I’ve just got to not let them affect me, get on with my game and prove them wrong.
"It doesn’t make me question my future at the club, it was only a small minority. I did the right thing, I scored the penalty, and that’s the main thing."
