Crystal Palace striker Dougie Freedman has signed a new two-year contract.

Freedman, 33, had rejected a £1m deal to play in Brunei and other offers in England to hold talks with chairman Simon Jordan.

The fans' favourite, who doesn't use an agent, finally agreed terms on Tuesday after returning from his holiday in Dubai.

He has scored 106 goals in 348 appearances in two spells with the Eagles - making him Palace's fourth all-time highest scorer.
