Michael Hughes

Michael Hughes

Former Crystal Palace star Michael Hughes has joined Coventry on a free.

The veteran midfielder was released by Palace boss Peter Taylor when his contract ran out at the end of last season.

Hughes, 35, links up with his old boss Iain Dowie and team-mate Gary Borrowdale who also signed for the Sky Blues this week.

Dowie said: "Having worked with Michael before, I know what a great technician he is and how much enthusiasm he has for the game. He is a winner."
