Peter Taylor admits he flopped as Crystal Palace manager.
Taylor's 15-month Palace tenure came to an end when his contract was terminated by chairman Simon Jordan.
The Eagles have just two victories all season, occupy 19th place in the Championship table and the former Palace winger admits he was simply not good enough.
He told the Croydon Guardian: "I'm disappointed. I came here to be a success but unfortunately that's not how it turned out.
"I'll hold my hands up and say the players I've got here at the club are better than 19th place in the table. Simon's decided to make the decision and I respect that decision."
He added: "I don't think there is just one reason why things didn't go as well as we would have liked on the pitch.
"But we are in a results business and out results weren't what we would have liked."
