Crystal Palace's renaissance under Neil Warnock continued with a 2-1 win at home to Plymouth.
The Eagles push up to 10th as they extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches after goals from Clint Hill and James Scowcroft.
Palace went closest to scoring with Ben Watson forcing Argyle goalkeeper Romain Larrieu to tip his dangerous free-kick around the post.
Then in the eighth minute they broke the deadlock. Danny Butterfield's right wing cross was headed on by Mark Hudson and Hill planted a looping header over Larrieu to score.
Watson then ballooned a chance from close range, before Larrieu was on hand to tip Scowcroft's strike over the bar then block a Tom Soares shot.
Two minutes before half-time, Scowcroft doubled Palace's advantage by converting Watson's long pass beyond Larrieu.
Plymouth came out for the second half a changed team and pulled one back through Jermaine Easter who diverted Nadjim Abdou's cross home at the back post.
Despite a spirited performance from the away side, Palace held firm to claim all three points.
Palace: Speroni, Butterfield, Lawrence, Hudson, Hill, Songo'o (Scannell 56), Derry, Watson, Soares (Martin 62), Scowcroft, Morrison (Freedman 69).
Not Used: Fletcher, Hills.
