Crystal Palace have confirmed that Johannes Ertl has become the club's third signing of the summer.
The 25-year-old Austrian defender had a weeks trial at the club and impressed Neil Warnock enough to secure a contract for an inital two years.
Ertl started his career in his native country at SK Sturm Graz and made over 60 appearances before moving to Austria Wien where he helped them win both the Austrian Bundesliga and the Austrian National Cup in 2006.
He has achieved 7 caps for Austria, making his debut for his country back in August 2006.
Ertl is equally comfortable in midfield as he is in defence.
