Crystal Palace
Johannes Ertl's first goal for Crystal Palace inspired a 4-1 win over Bodmin Town.
Palace started well against the Cornish part-timers with Ertl heading off target and Paul Ifill firing wide of the goal.
But against the run of play Bodmin took a shock lead on 21 minutes as Danny O'Hagan rose above Paddy McCarthy to nod home a free-kick from six yards.
Jamie Smith shot straight at the Beast of Bodmin - ex-Palace keeper Kevin Miller - then Sean Scannell had an effort blocked on the line with Ifill missing the rebound.
Two minutes into the second half Ertl's cracking volley into the left stanchion brought Palace on level terms.
McCarthy and sub Victor Moses had attempts cleared off the line by a solid Bodmin defence.
Just past the hour mark, Carl Fletcher put Palace in front with a well-struck skimmer from 20 yards into the bottom corner.
New boy Simon Thomas had a "goal" ruled out for offside, then brought out a finger tip save from the rotound Miller.
But the result was made safe thanks to two strikes from second half sub James Dayton.
His first arrived on 71 minutes with a right foot volley into the top corner after neat interplay on the edge of the box.
Three minutes later he made it 4-1 with a similar build-up which ended in a powerful drive past Miller.
Palace starting XI: Flahavan, Comley, Wiggins, McCarthy, Ertl, Smith, Soares, Fletcher, Ifill, Scannell, Andrew.
Subs: Carle, Moses, Thomas, Djilali.
