The Football League
Saturday evening gives Crystal Palace the first chance to showcase their talents on Sky Sports as they travel to Ipswich, writes Danny Hayes.
Unfortunately for Palace fans they could be sitting in the drop-zone by kick-off time and the prospect of defeat would leave Palace staring at a relegation battle despite it still being September.
The Eagles have yet to get going and have been inconsistent this season, largely thanks to the fact they have been unable to field the same side every week.
There should be another new man at top this weekend with loan signing Craig Beattie set to start. The lack of confidence is clearly evident and Ipswich is not really the place you want to be going when you’re not playing well.
Ipswich had an exceptional home record last year and while they started poorly this season with defeats to Preston and Wolves they look to be finding their form and it is going to take a vastly improved effort from Palace to take anything away from Portman Road.
Ipswich to win @ 10/11 with Blue Sq
Elsewhere in the Championship I will take my chances on a treble with Wolves to beat Bristol City, Burnley to beat Preston in their local derby and Reading to defeat Swansea, which is roughly 7/1.
