Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock was frustrated with his side's sluggish start in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
Leon Clarke put Wednesday in front after seven minutes before Ben Watson rescued a point for the Eagles with a 54th minute penalty.
He said: "At half-time I told them to relax and enjoy themselves. They were playing with fear for the first half-hour and made Wednesday look like Real Madrid.
"We dominated the second half, but overall we have to be disappointed not to win with the clear-cut chances we had.
"Kuqi missed a good chance, it went to his head. He could have just controlled it, but that's Kuqi for you."
Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws said: "We are delighted to stop the rot and it gives us good heart. We have had a mad month of games and five games in two weeks is a ridiculous situation.
"Every club has suffered from injuries because of it. Thank God its out the way and we can get some normality back.
"We were excellent in the first half and thoroughly deserved the lead. We were unfortunate not to get a second goal."
