Crystal Palace have joined the race for Barnsley striker Bruce Dyer. The Eagles are among a number of clubs who are interested in signing the former Palace man on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Dyer's contract with Barnsley runs out in the summer and is yet to agree a new deal with Palace's First Division rivals.
The former England Under-21 international, who played 135 League games and scored 37 goals in his spell at Selhurst Park, looks set to move on when his contract runs out.
Dyer could be replacing Mikael Forssell who is very likely to return to his club Chelsea when his loan contract runs out this summer.
Meanwhile, The Eagles reserves beat Luton Town 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon and look set to finish the season in style.
The second string have now won five and drawn one of their last six games.
Palace goals were scored by Stephen Kabba, Andrew Martin and Stephen Hunt.
