The Football League
Two wins in four days has seen Crystal Palace rise to the top half of the table and they get the chance to consolidate that good form against the inconsistent QPR on Saturday.
Palace’s recent revival has seen them made favourites for the encounter with one of the pre-season jollies for promotion.
Unfortunately for the Hoops, ex-Palace manager Iain Dowie wasn’t the man to satisfy their multi-billionaire owners’ ambitions as their season has stuttered and he has been replaced by the Portuguese Paulo Sousa.
Whether Sousa, a fine player in his time, is the ideal candidate for the hustle and bustle of the Championship can only be waited to seen but he made a winning start against Charlton in midweek. However from last week's 3-0 reverse at Watford he has a lot to do to make QPR promotion contenders.
This London derby is the perfect opportunity for Palace to string a third win in a row and they should be high on confidence following last week’s results. QPR were better in midweek but it would be a major surprise if the Eagles cannot defeat them.
