Crystal Palace midfielder John Oster has agreed to stay at the club until the end of the season.
Oster, 30, penned a six month contract in August after his release from Reading but has impressed manager Neil Warnock enough to extend his deal.
The former Wales international has scored three times in 16 appearances but admits he wanted to sign for an extra year.
"I wanted to sign for 18 months but we couldn't agree on personal terms, but I'm more than happy to sign for six months," he said.
"We had been negotiating for a couple of weeks. I'm glad it's all out of the way and I can concentrate on playing football.
"I think I've bedded in quite well. There's a good set of lads here, maybe we'll get some more in, and hopefully we can push for promotion."
