Crystal Palace starlet Nathaniel Clyne admits he is thrilled to have signed a new contract.
The 18-year-old right-back penned a deal which ties him to Palace for the next three seasons and the local lad is delighted to commit his future to the Eagles.
Clyne has enjoyed an excellent debut season since making his first-team bow in October and his displays have reportedly alerted a number of Premier League clubs.
"I'm happy, very delighted," he said. "It was easy enough to ignore all the speculation really.
"This season has gone better than I presumed it would, I hoped I would get a couple of games but not this much.
"I like Neil Warnock as a manager and I get on with him well so I was happy when he signed his deal too.
"He says some good things about me and that gives me confidence and I have got to try and live up to what he says and just perform.
"Next season I want to make more appearances and to try and get on the scoresheet."
