Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have had their transfer embargo lifted by the Football League.
Manager Neil Warnock has been unable to add to his threadbare squad because of player bonuses and signing-on fees owed to players from last season.
Chairman Simon Jordan has now paid that off and Bristol City got their £250,000 installment owed on the transfer of Nick Carle last year.
Now Warnock can push through the signing of Claude Davis from Derby once his work permit has been sorted out and a replacement for Victor Moses who is set to leave Selhurst Park.
"The embargo has been lifted today, so I’m trying hard to bring in one or two new faces," Warnock said.
Meanwhile, striker Simon Thomas has joined Blue Square Premier side Ebbsfleet United on a month's loan.
