Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are said to be following John Aloisi and Marc Edworthy, both from newly-relegated Coventry City. Simon Jordan confirmed that there is plenty of money to spend on new players for next season.
Defender Edworthy, a former Eagles player, was a target for former boss Alan Smith before the transfer deadline in March. He could now come in on a bosman this summer as replacement for Jamie Smith who is targetted by Bolton Wanderers.
Jamie Smith, who will be out of contract as well this summer, has been offered a contract by Palace, but Bolton could be offering Premiership football for next season.
The other Coventry player followed by the Selhurst Park outfit is striker John Aloisi.
The Eagles are looking for a replacement for Mikael Forssell who returns to his club Chelsea after his season long loan.
The Australian international played for Portsmouth before joining Coventry.
Meanwhile, US international defender Gregg Berhalter has signed a new deal with Crystal Palace.
The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a new contract keeping him at the club until the summer of 2004.
Chairman Simon Jordan said: "Steve Kember has been impressed with his performances over the closing matches.
"He was very keen to conclude this new deal as we are aware that there are other clubs showing an interest in him."
