Nathaniel Pinney
Crystal Palace reserves ran out 2-1 victors away to Eastbourne.
Winger Kieron Cadogan gave Palace an early lead by taking advantage of an error by an Eastbourne defender and hitting home a superb shot from 35 yards.
Nathaniel Pinney increased Palace's advantage 10 minutes before the break by slotting past keeper Danny Knowles from Kieran Djilali's cross.
But Eastbourne were an improved side in the second period and pulled a goal back from James Fraser who scored from six yards.
They missed a great chance to level the scores in the 78th minute but Ross Trevaelen missed a penalty kick.
Palace: Flahavan, Kenlock (Goldsmith 78), Hills (Parsons 74); Pringle, Nnamani, Holness, Djilali (Roberts 85), Adelakun, Pinney, Cadogan, Smith.
Not used: Randall, Mann.
