Dougie Freedman
Dougie Freedman has urged the Crystal Palace fans to roar the team to victory over West Brom.
Palace's assistant manager admits the players let the supporters down by their abject performance in the recent home defeat to QPR.
With the Eagles needing to beat the promoted West Brom at Selhurst Park on Monday night to stand a chance of staying up, Freedman says the players don't need reminding how important the televised clash will be.
And the Palace legend believes the support from the stands will be crucial in helping the players claim maximum points against the Baggies.
"The supporters have always been great here," said Freedman. "We had a fantastic crowd in for the QPR match and we let them down.
"If we can get the same numbers for Monday night and create the same atmosphere I’m confident that we will give the performance the fans they deserve. It’s a huge game and the players will be ready."
