Crystal Palace's reserve team were beaten 2-1 by Ryman League side Sutton United.
The match at Gander Green Lane was another chance for trialists Remi Mareval and Liam Bridcutt to show George Burley that they are worth a contract, after their debuts yesterday against Crawley Town.
Former Derby County goalkeeper Lewis Price also featured in goal.
The game didn't start too well for the young reserve team when Sutton took just 9 minutes to take the lead.
Jerson dos Santos (formerly on the books at Palace) scored from the spot after Bridcutt was adjudged to have brought down Craig Dundas in the box.
Nathaniel Pinney equalised for the Eagles just before half time, poaching a goal from 6 yards out after a Wilfried Zaha shot was deflected into his path.
Sutton dominated the second half and scored what proved to the winning goal on 78 minutes from a free kick.
Palace: Price, Parsons, Holland, Nnanami, Mereval (Pringle, 46), Cadogan (Williamson-Murrell, 85), Bridcutt (Wynter, 85), Holness (Caprice, 85), Djilali (Williams, 75), Zaha (Sekajja, 46), Pinney.
