Nathaniel Pinney leapt off the bench to grab the winning goal for Crystal Palace in a 1-0 victory over Norwich.
Palace shocked Premier League newcomers Norwich for their second success of the summer campaign.
They fielded Stoke defender Andrew Davies, who played the first 45 minutes, and trialist Maxime Brillault who took his place after the break.
Eagles captain Paddy McCarthy thwarted Simeon Jackson with a last-ditch tackle and Bradley Johnson nodded Grant Holt's cross off target.
But it was the hosts who had the best chance of the first half as Darren Ambrose saw his goal-bound shot cleared off the line by Leon Barnett.
City manager Paul Lambert made 10 changes in the second half but his side drew a blank as substitute Pinney rounded keeper John Ruddy to score a minute from the end.
