Crystal Palace have bolstered their defence with the signing of Mustapha Dumbuya and John Egan on a month's loan.
Full-back Dumbuya, 24, joins from Doncaster after making eight appearances this season and will be available for Saturday's trip to Derby - but not the Carling Cup tie against Cardiff next week.
Centre back Egan, 19, comes from Sunderland where he captained their reserve side, though the promising Irishman has yet to break into the first team. He will be available for both Derby and Cardiff outings.
Palace boss Dougie Freedman was forced to bring in fresh recruits after first choice centre half pairing Paddy McCarthy and Anthony Gardner had to sit out Monday's defeat to Leicester with a virus and may not be well enough for the weekend.
Left-back Dean Moxey is still sidelined with a knee injury, while Dekel Keinan has only just recovered from a twisted ankle.
Meanwhile, striker Chris Martin has had his loan from Norwich extended until Saturday February 4.
