Out-of-favour midfielder Jamie Pollock has rejected a move to Wigan Athletic, opting to stay at Selhurst Park instead.
Wigan boss Paul Jewell wanted to add the former Manchester City and Bolton player to his side after the sale of Kevin Nicholls to Luton Town.
But Pollock turned down a loan deal, which was viewed as a possible permanent transfer.
The 27 year old had an angry exchange with boss Steve Bruce, when he was substituted in a recent reserve game at Colchester United.
He was clearly annoyed at being taken off and was shouting at Bruce from the pitch. He has kept his 32 squad number and is believed to have no future at the club.
