Crystal Palace
There were mixed fortunes for Crystal Palace's international stars in their World Cup qualifying games for their respective countries, this weekend.
Clinton Morrison was an unused substitute in the Republic of Ireland's magnificent 1-0 win over Holland.
The USA's 19-match unbeaten run came to an end when they surprisingly lost 3-2 to Honduras.
Jovan Kirovsi was brought down in the box for a penalty when it was 1-1, but the spot kick was missed by Earnie Stewart to leave the Americans second in their group. Gregg Berhalter did not play.
Aki Riihilahti's Finland claimed three points in Tirana with a 2-0 win over Albania in Group Nine.
On Friday, a 41st minute Fan Zhiyi penalty sealed China's 2-0 win away to Oman and maintained their 100 per cent qualifying record. This followed a 3-0 victory over United Arab Emerates last week.
On the same day, Wayne Carlisle played in Northern Ireland U-21's 2-0 defeat to Denmark U-21.
