Crystal Palace got their pre-season programme off to a winning start with a 5-1 victory at Lewes.
Dougie Freedman selected 20-year-old Everton striker Jose Baxter who is on trial after rejected a new Toffees deal.
Peter Ramage, who had a spell on loan with the Eagles last season, was recently let go by QPR and also started.
Meanwhile, summer signings Joel Ward and Aaron Wilbraham wore the Palace shirt for the first time.
Palace made light work of the Ryman Premier League side going into a 3-0 half-time lead after goals from Wilbraham, Baxter and Wilfried Zaha.
Freedman made 11 changes at the break and Layton Schaaf pulled a goal back for the Rooks. But Palace Academy player Bayan Fenwick made made it 4-1 before Jermaine Easter added a fifth.
