Sierra Leone international defender Umaru Bangura has issued a 'come and get me' plea to Crystal Palace.

Bangura is desperate to leave Norwegian club FK Haugesund and join up with the Eagles in the Premier League.

His club have reportedly rejected a bid of around £2m from Palace and are holding out for double that even though the player has a year left on his contract.

Bangura said: "I am very disappointed. I'm ready for new challenges, and the Premier League is a great opportunity for me and Crystal Palace want me now.

"I only have a few months left on my contract before I can go for free, so the choice should not be that difficult."

The 25-year-old was at Watford but ended up getting loaned out to Honefoss after he couldn't get a work permit. However, this should no longer be a problem now Sierra Leone are ranked inside FIFA's top 70 countries.
