Jonathan Parr
Jonathan Parr has handed Crystal Palace a boost by revealing his injury is not as bad as first feared.
The left-back collided with Wigan's Callum McManaman in mid air during Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup defeat and crumpled to the ground where he lay motionless for eight minutes before being stretchered off.
It was thought the Norwegian suffered a serious neck or jaw injury and was facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
However, the 25-year-old has made a good recovery and hopes to be available for selection next weekend to help Palace's battle against relegation.
He said: "I am extremely happy that I am 100 per cent well. It was a hard knock, but I am happy I have not suffered a serious injury. I hope to be back playing soon.
"I might not be able to play this Tuesday, but I am sure I will be ready next weekend."
