Julian Speroni
Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni has signed a new contract.
The 35-year-old enjoyed a brilliant Premier League campaign, helping the Eagles keep one of the meanest defences in the division, and won the club's Player of the Year award for a record fourth time.
His signing comes as a major boost to manager Tony Pulis and also the fans with Speroni set to battle it out for the no.1 jersey with Wayne Hennessey.
The Argentine, who joined from Dundee in 2004, has the option of an extra 12 months to the deal and said he was thrilled to be staying at Selhurst Park.
He told cpfc.co.uk: "I’m delighted. This is my home. This is where I always wanted to be, so I'm really pleased.
"I've been saying for months and months this was always my first choice. I'm really please we can forget about what happened, deal with it and look forward to next season now.
"The expectation will grow as long as we stay in the Premier League, but we are going to do our best, of course, try to stay in the league again and finish as high as we can."
